The Alabama Grocers Association needs your support TODAY! Legislative and regulatory representation are among the most important functions of your Association. Each year, numerous pieces of unwanted and unnecessary legislation are defeated by your agents in Montgomery, saving our members thousands of dollars in taxes and onerous compliance expenses. During the Alabama’s legislative sessions, the AGA is on the scene as your voice at the capital monitoring and analyzing all legislation that will affect the food industry. AGA’s grass roots campaign also helps us monitor and effect legislation, at both the state and local level.
AGA takes pride in the relationship we have with our state and federal agencies and elected leaders…an invaluable asset to our members. With the influence of our members on the local level, combined with retained professionals in the Capital, we have built a positive track record. Our involvement with the elected officials over the past nineteen years has provided us with a reputation for leadership in the retail community and in Government. AGA is always available to answer your questions on EBT, WIC, food safety, alcohol and tobacco compliance and any other industry issues affecting your bottom line. We are here to help you with your questions and to save you money.
We need your help to continue these important efforts. The Alabama Grocers Association’s political action fund, SACK PAC, was created to assist candidates for Legislative and other offices who support the food industry. 2010 is a crucial election year in Alabama, and we again need your help to defend our industry. In the primaries and general election of 2010, all 140 seats in the Alabama House of Representatives and the Alabama Senate will be on the ballot, as well as all other constitutional offices such as Governor and the Commissioner of Agriculture. Please help us ensure that your voice will continue to be heard in Montgomery. Just one single issue decided in our favor could save you the cost of your contribution many times over.
There are four levels to the SACK PAC Campaign: Diamond, Platinum, Gold & Silver. Contributions can be given on a one time or annual basis, and all donors will be recognized in the AGA Convention Yearbook and In the Year in Review. Please donate at the highest level possible. Help us help YOU!
